| Help Spread the Word: 2025 Alabama Chapter Scholarship Opportunity! |
| The Alabama Chapter of the Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) is excited to announce its 2025 Scholarship Opportunity. We will award up to two $1,000 scholarships to students enrolled at a college or university in Alabama who are pursuing a degree in an environmentally focused or science-based field of study. This scholarship aims to support the next generation of environmental professionals and encourage academic excellence in disciplines that support environmental protection and sustainability. Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must be Alabama residents and currently enrolled (or accepted for enrollment) in a college or university within the state. Degree programs may include, but are not limited to, environmental science, engineering, biology, chemistry, or related scientific fields with environmental exposure (e.g., co-op programs with environmental components). Complete applications must include: An official high school or college transcript showing your current GPA A 250-300 word essay (see application) If a graduating high school senior: ACT/SAT scores and a copy of the college/university acceptance letter Application Deadline: June 30, 2025 Recipients will be notified by August 1, 2025. We encourage you to share the application with any students who are residents of Alabama and may be interested in this opportunity.
